The Puerto Rico Aqueduct Sewer Authority (PRASA) is a public corporation provider of potable water and sewer services to the whole island. It is implementing a sustainable Island –wide Management Program for wastewater treatment residuals (biosolids).
The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to solicit information regarding Biosolids Management Contracts (“BMCs”) for biosolids management, including hauling and final disposal alternatives.
This RFI is for planning and information purposes only. The objective is to improve efficiency in biosolids management and to obtain cost savings incorporating sustainable practices of reuse which will result in less than 10% of biosolids disposal in landfills.
